Balloons create joy, celebration, and unforgettable moments — but it’s important to acknowledge the environmental impact they can have if used irresponsibly.
Improperly disposed balloons can become litter, enter waterways, and pose serious risks to wildlife and ecosystems. Ignoring this reality isn’t an option. At the same time, we believe balloons don’t need to disappear entirely. When used thoughtfully and disposed of correctly, they can continue to be part of meaningful celebrations without unnecessary harm to the planet.
Sustainability isn’t about perfection — it’s about making better choices, and those choices are often simpler than they seem.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
We offer balloons made from 100% natural rubber latex, a renewable resource harvested from rubber trees. Unlike foil or mylar balloons, natural latex balloons are biodegradable over time.
That said, biodegradation does not happen instantly. Balloons can still cause harm while breaking down, which is why proper handling and disposal is essential. The most responsible option is to keep balloons secured and dispose of them via appropriate waste streams once their use is complete.
Foil and mylar balloons are not part of our normal range due to their long-term environmental impact.
No Balloon Releases
We do not support or encourage balloon releases of any size.
Every balloon released into the air eventually comes down somewhere — often far from a rubbish bin. The likelihood of it being disposed of correctly is extremely low, and the environmental consequences far outweigh the brief visual moment.
Reduced & Responsible Packaging
We aim to minimise waste by using only the packaging that is genuinely necessary. You won’t find individually wrapped balloons or excessive labelling.
Where protective packaging is required for hygiene and transport, we prioritise reusable solutions, such as durable zip-lock bags that can be repurposed for storage long after delivery.
Renewable & Recyclable Shipping Materials
All shipping boxes and envelopes are made from sustainably sourced materials and are recyclable, helping reduce reliance on single-use plastics and non-renewable resources.

While visually striking, balloon releases — especially at weddings, events, or promotions — come with lasting environmental costs. Consider whether the moment justifies the impact, particularly when balloons are used for advertising that disappears almost immediately.
Choose Eco-Friendly Accessories
Avoid plastic or polyester strings. Instead, use cotton string, paper ties, or cardboard accessories, which are fully biodegradable and far safer for wildlife.
Dispose of Balloons Properly
Once balloons have served their purpose:
- Deflate them
- Remove any attachments
- Dispose of all materials responsibly, from packaging through to the balloon itself
Correct disposal is one of the most effective ways to prevent environmental harm.
Look for Certified Products
Always ensure balloons meet recognised safety and material standards, such as CE certification, which confirms compliance with strict regulations around materials and substances.
